What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to work closely with our Social Media Director and spearhead activity across our portfolio of social media accounts. We’re after someone who knows how to bring new thinking and fresh ideas to client relationships and who can use their up-to-date knowledge of the social media landscape to boost our clients’ online presence. 

So, if you’re ready to lead on the social media strategies of major brands including Accenture, Audible, Herbert Smith Freehills, Royal Mail, EE, Deutsche Bank and many more, then this is the place for you. Our list of clients is as shiny as our trophy cabinet.

From social media strategy to content to reporting and paid social, you’ll have a solid understanding of these four areas to ensure that our clients are getting the most from their activity – and, as a result, you’ll help them to elevate their employer brand and compete effectively for talent.

Ensuring that all planned activities are insight-led, based on audience research and social media best practice, you’ll provide strategic consultancy advice to help our clients plan, build and deliver a coherent and effective social media presence. You’ll oversee day to day social media deliverables including content calendars, reports and paid social campaigns, while working closely with our Social Media Managers, Content Creators and Social Media Execs. As well as managing and growing key client accounts, you’ll also line manage a few junior members of the team, offering them mentorship, coaching and supporting their development. Lastly, you’ll play a leading role in winning new business for the agency and developing our social offerings. 

About you

As well as energy, enthusiasm and an expert understanding of channels within the social space, to join us you’ll also need to:

  • Have at least six years’ agency experience in a social media or related digital marketing role
  • Know a thing or two about strategy and proposal development
  • Bring proven client management and account development experience
  • Be confident in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Be able to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Thrive within a busy agency environment and confidently manage deadlines
  • Have previous experience with budget management and cost proposal writing
  • Understand insights/research tools, processes and methodologies
  • Be an excellent writer
  • Have a couple of years’ experience line managing junior members
